| The Jews and Prostitution in Constantinople 1854 - 1922 |
|
|
This book deals with the little studied subject of the role of the Jews in the white slave trade and prostitution in Constantinople. It comprises four articles: a) "The Place of the Jews in the Prostitution Marketplace of Constantinople" by the author, b) a reprint of an obscure pamphlet entitled "Michel Solomonovich Chef des Marchands d'Esclaves et Agent de la Police Secrète à Constantinople" edited by Albert Ettiges, c) a reprint of a pamphlet by S. Cohen entitled "Report of an Enquiry Made in Constantinople", d) an article entitled "Prostitution" by Charles Trowbridge Riggs.
