This work represents a printing of the author's Master's thesis, presented to the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Sorbonne University, in December 2000. It consists of three parts: (1) The image of the Jew in the Turkish popular literature, (2) Antisemitism in Turkey, (3) the policies and official ideology of the Turkish Republic towards its minorities.
